Fourier and zeta transform  Definition of the Fourier Transform and signal representation in the frequency domain. Zeta transform.

Signal transformations  Transformations of signals. Analog and digital filters. Sinusoidal inputs to filters and frequency response. Interpretation in the frequency domain.

Filters  Digital filters. Rational transfer functions and stability. Difference equations and realizations of filters.

Duality  Dual of a signal transformation. Time-frequency duality. Interpolators and decimators. Computation of the Fourier transform of a signal via FTT.

Sampling  Sampling and interpolation. The sampling theorem. Applications to communication systems.

Exercises  Exercises and filter design in Matlab.
