The hardware platforms  Discrete Systems: microprocessors and peripherals, microcontrolles; sensors and transducers. Sigle Chip Systems: General purpose, application specific and reconfigurable Systems on Chip; Networks on Chip. Distribuited Systems: Sensor Networks, wearable systems and smart textiles, communication protocols. Fundamentals of Operating Systems, Middleware e Real-Time OS.

The software platform  Component, Platform and communication-based design. Representation Models: Data-Flow, Control-oriented, Event-driven. Design and Synthesis: Design, HW/SW partitioning, synthesis algorithms. Linguages: VHDL, SystemC.
